The Key River is ideal for Ontario Kayaking tours, which are mostly recreational. Here, the waters are calm and clear on most days. All the same, you still need to wear a life jacket; this is one of the main safety requirements for kayaking. If you are doing a camping trip, you should also carry a waterproof bag; this way, you can stuff it into the kayak as you go exploring areas along the river without worrying about your items getting wet. As a group, you could decide to hitch camp ashore or make a stop to prepare a meal.
If you would like to do day trips in the Georgian Bay, we would be pleased to provide you with a home base from which to explore. For our Ontario kayaking trips we also provide a shuttle service which can aid you in bringing your supplies and/or kayaks directly to the bay.
